Dateline Movies review Django Unchained, a new masterpiece from Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs)

What is the movie about?

Quentin Tarantino returns to the director's chair with his latest western epic. Back in the old west, a fellow slave named Django, played by Foxx (Collateral) encounters a bounty hunter and dentist named Dr. King Schultz, played by Waltz, (The Green Hornet). Dr. Schultz buys him from a group of slave traders and invites him to the life of bounty hunting. They picked their ultimate target, Calvin Candie, played by DiCpario, (Titanic), a ruthless plantation owner who also holds Django's missing wife, played by Washington, (Scandal). On their journey, they must avoid suspicion from Candie and his men, including his loyal slave, Stephen, played by Jackson, (Pulp Fiction) in order to save Django's wife and get out with their lives. Will they make it out?

What I think of the movie?

This movie is full of racist jokes, unbelievable gore (Tarantino's trademark), and heart-pounding action, and that's what makes this movie an unforgettable one. Perfectly blending dark comedy with western action, while accompanied by outstanding performances, Django Unchained, overall is a very impressive movie worth seeing for Tarantino fans everywhere. I'm excited to see him as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this May.
